Doja Cat’s “Vie” Expected to Debut at #4 on Billboard 200 with 56K Units

Doja Cat’s Vie continues her Billboard streak, cementing her as one of the most dynamic pop stars of her generation.

Doja Cat is proving once again that her artistic range knows no limits. Her latest album, Vie, is expected to debut at #4 on the Billboard 200 with over 56,000 first-week units, including 26,000 pure sales, according to HitsDailyDouble. This marks her third top-five album—an impressive feat for an artist who refuses to stay in one creative lane.

What sets Vie apart from her previous releases is its throwback sound. Doja dives headfirst into a vintage 80s pop vibe, swapping out heavy beats for synths, reverb, and that undeniable retro charm. Of course, being Doja, she couldn’t resist slipping in her signature raps when the moment called for it. The blend feels effortless, like she’s rewriting pop history in her own image.

Songs like “Gorgeous,” “AAAHH MEN!” and “Take Me Dancing” have already started catching traction, becoming early fan favorites. They capture the colorful, tongue-in-cheek energy that has made Doja such a fascinating artist to follow. Whether she’s crooning or spitting bars, she sounds completely in control of her world.

In terms of first-week numbers, Vie trails behind Scarlet (72K) and Planet Her (109K), but it doesn’t feel like a setback. Instead, it reflects Doja’s willingness to experiment and evolve. Vie isn’t just an album—it’s a time machine dressed in fishnets and neon, and the world seems more than happy to take the ride.
