Trippie Redd Drops Wild New Single “Checklist” Ahead of Upcoming Album ‘NDA’

Rating: 4.5 out of 5.

Trippie Redd is revving up for his next chapter with NDA, and “Checklist” might be the perfect preview of the madness to come.

Trippie Redd’s next era is in full swing. With his highly anticipated album NDA on the horizon, the Ohio native has been feeding fans with new music all year long. Between releases like “Sketchy” and now “Checklist,” Trippie has made it clear that he’s back in experimental mode—balancing chaos, melody, and that signature unpredictability that’s kept him relevant for nearly a decade.

“Checklist” rides a chill, hypnotic beat that manages to be both smooth and hard-hitting simultaneously. Lyrically, Trippie goes off the rails in classic Trippie fashion, tossing out offbeat bars about shooting people with afros (WTF), cashing checks, sipping codeine, and living unapologetically. It’s all over the place, but that’s part of the fun, right?

Vocally, Trippie bounces between two extremes: unhinged, almost manic energy in the verses and a surprisingly gentle, melodic touch on the hook. The chorus has that signature Trippie stickiness—it sneaks up on you and won’t leave your head for a while. If anything, the verses might be a bit too wild for casual listeners, but fans will recognize this as Trippie at his most authentic.

As he gears up to release NDA, “Checklist” feels like a solid warm-up. It’s not his most polished track, but it captures everything that makes Trippie Redd unique.
