DeMar DeRozan Fires Back At Drake: “I Repped Toronto More Than Anybody

DeMar DeRozan isn’t here for Drake’s feelings — the former Raptors star made it clear he’s got no time for petty drama when it comes to the 6.

DeMar DeRozan didn’t mince words when asked about Drake’s recent shade — he simply doesn’t care. The former Toronto Raptors legend, who left everything on the court during his nine seasons with the team, made it clear that no rapper or rumor can rewrite what he did for the city. “I put my life on the line every single moment I stepped on the court,” DeRozan said, his tone steady and unbothered. “Every true fan and every person that knows me there knows I represented that place more than anybody that ever came through there.”

It’s a bold statement, but he’s got the receipts. With 13,296 points, four All-Star appearances, and five playoff runs, DeRozan isn’t just another ex-player — he’s a chapter in Raptors history. When he says he repped Toronto harder than anyone, he means it. The man didn’t just wear the jersey; he became the jersey.

Drake, however, has been on a different kind of campaign. From trying to rattle DeRozan courtside last season to throwing his jersey offstage during a concert in Australia, the rapper’s antics have leaned more petty than poetic. Add in a leaked diss on an upcoming album, and it’s clear there’s tension, which stemmed from DeRozan’s seemingly public support of Kendrick Lamar’s scathing diss track “Not Like Us.”

But DeRozan? Unbothered as ever. “I knew about it a year ago, so it ain’t nothing new,” he said.
