Kodak Black & Chance The Rapper Link Up for the Unlikely “Still Get Chanel”

Rating: 4 out of 5.

Who knew Chance and Kodak could talk trickin’ like this?

This might be the most surprising collaboration of the year. Kodak Black teaming up with Chance The Rapper feels like a matchup no one saw coming — one part Florida street heat, one part Chicago soul. Their new single, “Still Get Chanel,” somehow finds a middle ground between their two worlds, and the result is as entertaining as it is unpredictable.

“Still Get Chanel” glides over a light, almost gleeful trap beat that has a clean tempo and bounce. Kodak kicks things off with his signature raw delivery, spitting about spoiling his woman regardless of how she acts while slipping in reminders of his street edge and chaotic lifestyle (Yes, he talks blickies and drug-use in the track).

Chance The Rapper slides in with a smoother, catchier verse that contrasts perfectly with Kodak’s rugged energy. His flow is sly, confident, and a little cheeky, leaning into the song’s themes of love, luxury, and lust. There’s a certain playfulness to his delivery that rounds out the track’s vibe — you can tell he’s having fun with the s**t.

Kodak and Chance bounce off each other surprisingly well in this track. I guess they are cut from the same reckless cloth.
