Is “More Life” the most successful playlist of all time?
Drake’s More Life just hit a major milestone—over 400 weeks on the Billboard charts. That’s nearly eight years of consistent staying power, making it only the 10th rap album in history to achieve such longevity. Not bad for what Drake once called a “playlist,” right?
Released back in 2017, More Life featured some of Drake’s biggest and most replayed records to date, including “Fake Love,” “Teenage Fever,” and the tropical-sounding hit “Passionfruit.” Each track showcased a different side of Drake’s sound, from moody R&B to UK grime influences, helping cement the project as one of his most stylistically adventurous releases.
Commercially, it was a juggernaut—moving 505,000 units in its first week, with 226,000 coming from pure sales. It also introduced the world to then-rising star Jorja Smith and featured a stacked guest lineup: Quavo, Travis Scott, Young Thug, 2 Chainz, Kanye West, PARTYNEXTDOOR, and more.
Eight years later, More Life still hits like a global moodboard—one that continues to resonate with fans around the world.
