Top 5 Highest-Selling Rap Albums This Week (10/18/2025): Cardi B, NBA YoungBoy & Gunna

Gunna climbs back into the top 5, while Cardi B continues to hold her ground with consistency.

TOP 5

5. $ome $exy $ongs 4 U – PARTYNEXTDOOR & Drake (19k)

Did Kendrick Lamar’s “Not Like Us” get a boost after Drake’s defamation lawsuit was dismissed? Absolutely. But interestingly enough, Drake’s name got a little boost too. After briefly slipping out of the top 5, $ome $exy $ongs 4 U has climbed back up — not shocking in the slightest. And right behind it sits Kendrick Lamar’s GNX project. At this point, it’s safe to say these two will be linked forever, whether they like it or not.

4. Take Care – Drake (21k)

At this point, if anyone asks me why Take Care is still sitting comfortably in the top 5 more than a decade later, my answer is simple: human nature. Sure, it’s Drake’s most polished, complete, and arguably best album — but come on, we’ve all heard it a million times. It’s basically the soundtrack to an entire generation’s growing pains. The funniest part? Drake isn’t even cool with most of the people on the album anymore — Kendrick Lamar, Rick Ross, The Weeknd… all distant memories. But still, we play it. Why? Because, like I said, it’s human nature.

3. The Last Wun – Gunna (21k)

He’s back! After a short break from the list — and a brief swap with his former friend turned rival, Young Thug — Gunna’s The Last Wun has made its return. Honestly, I always saw this 30-track project as a symbol of consistency and composure, so it’s no shock to see it rebound. What is surprising, though, is how much unintentional promo he’s getting from his critics. Every time someone brings up Gunna’s name in a podcast or throws out another “snitching” debate, his music starts trending again. It’s like clockwork — the more they talk, the more people stream. If there’s ever been a real-life example of haters fueling a win, this is definitely it.

2. NBA YoungBoy – Make America Slime Again (21k)

I hope y’all are catching on — NBA YoungBoy is in the middle of one of the most surprising redemption runs of the year. After serving time and briefly losing his momentum, he’s bounced back strong with a successful tour and one of the hottest hip-hop records of the fall, “Shot Callin.” Even with a few of his shows getting cancelled, the headlines just keep his name louder than ever. Right now, he might be the most talked-about artist in rap — and fittingly, the actual NBA is tipping off this week, too.

1. AM I THE DRAMA? – Cardi B (52k)

Women have completely taken over the music scene this month, pushing the guys out of the spotlight one by one. Taylor Swift shattered massive records and dethroned Morgan Wallen, while Cardi B has been running laps around both new and veteran hip-hop acts. With how steady her album continues to perform, don’t be shocked if it ends up claiming the top spot in total sales — this might just be the month women officially run the charts.
