Kodak Black Returns with New Album “Just Getting Started” Featuring Chance the Rapper, Pharrell & Gunna

Kodak Black’s new album blends raw honesty with renewed energy, proving he’s still evolving as one of hip-hop’s most unpredictable voices.

Kodak Black is back with Just Getting Started, his first major release since Trill Bill last year — and it feels like a full-circle moment for the Florida rapper. The album finds Kodak sharper than ever, balancing introspection with his signature bravado, and experimenting with new sounds while staying true to his roots.

The project boasts an impressive lineup of features, including Lil Yachty, Pharrell Williams, Chance The Rapper, Don Toliver, and Gunna, each adding their own flavor to Kodak’s world. On “Project Blue,” the album’s moody opener, Kodak raps with renewed focus over a melancholic instrumental, setting a reflective tone. Meanwhile, the first single “Still Get Chanel” sees him and Chance trading clever bars about spoiling women regardless of how they treat them.

He also nods to his early career with “No Flaggin,” a clear callback to the fan-favorite flow of “No Flockin,” while “Endless Nights” with Gunna finds both rappers weaving melodic pain into luxury raps. Across its runtime, Just Getting Started blends vulnerability, confidence, and evolution.

Is this the start of a major Kodak comeback? Hell, did he even go anywhere?
