NLE Choppa vs. NBA YoungBoy would be the YN Super Bowl.
NLE Choppa has been on one wild journey over the past few years. What started as a spiritual awakening — marked by veganism, meditation, and a monk-like rebrand — has now come full circle, reminding everyone that the Memphis rapper is still with the s**ts. His latest single, “KO,” is proof that inner peace doesn’t mean you’ve lost your punch.
Built around a modernized version of Junior M.A.F.I.A.’s “Get Money” — the same beat Tupac famously flipped into “Hit ’Em Up” — “KO” carries the spirit of old-school rap warfare. Choppa sounds like a Memphis-bred Pac, locked in and focused, taking aim at an unnamed rival he claims is “poisoning the youth.” The delivery is fierce, calculated, and brimming with energy.
But the real fireworks come in the visuals. In the music video, NLE Choppa leans heavily into symbolism — moonwalking like Michael Jackson, channeling Mike Tyson’s knockout energy, and even donning dreads that resemble NBA YoungBoy’s signature look. The video’s closing image — a severed head that suspiciously resembles YoungBoy — all but cements the subliminal tension.
Whether “KO” is a direct diss or just a fierce display of competition, one thing’s certain: NLE Choppa vs. NBA YoungBoy could get uglier than the economy.
