Orrin, the self-proclaimed cyborg rapper, returns with “Poppin’ It,” a glitchy, high-energy track that blends futuristic production with slick, confident bars.
So apparently, Orrin — yes, the cyborg from those viral Dr. Phil clips — is back, and let me tell you, this metal man knows how to make music that sticks in your head like firmware. Just weeks after dropping his 15-track project Lost In Translation, he’s already spinning the block with a new project called Nü New York. One of the best singles from it is “Poppin’ It.”
“Poppin’ It” runs on a bouncy, glitchy, video-game-coded beat that sounds like it was made in a futuristic arcade. Orrin thrives in that digital chaos, delivering a hypnotic, slightly emotional rap performance that flexes just the right amount. He’s talking about thriving, stunting, and dunking on his opps — all while gliding over the production like a cyborg programmed for rhythm.
The relentless flow hits hard, but the chorus? Straight-up infectious. All in all, “Poppin’ It” is one of those tracks that will have your mind at ease about a robot takeover.
