Metro Boomin’s “Heroes & Villains” Becomes Fastest Rap Album Ever to Hit 7 Billion Spotify Streams

Metro Boomin has been one of the most successful hip-hop artists in the industry over the past few years.

Metro Boomin has achieved another milestone that cements his status as one of the most influential producers of his generation. His 2022 album Heroes & Villains has officially become the fastest rap album in Spotify history to surpass 7 billion streams, surpassing the previous record held by Drake’s Scorpion.

From the moment it dropped, Heroes & Villains was praised for its cinematic scope, meticulous production, and the way it seamlessly blended the strengths of every artist involved. The project gathered together many of the biggest stars in hip-hop, including Future, Travis Scott, 21 Savage, Don Toliver, The Weeknd, Young Thug, Gunna, A$AP Rocky, Chris Brown, and Takeoff. One of the few surprises was the absence of Drake, especially considering the pair’s long history of successful collaborations.

A significant portion of the album’s massive streaming numbers comes from its most popular tracks. “Creepin’,” featuring The Weeknd and 21 Savage, remains the most dominant track. “Too Many Nights,” with Don Toliver and Future, has also become a streaming giant thanks to its addictive hook and breezy production. “Trance,” featuring Travis Scott and Young Thug, maintains high replay value and consistent popularity across social platforms. Meanwhile, “Superhero (Heroes & Villains),” featuring Future and Chris Brown, has evolved into one of Metro’s signature anthems. All of these tracks have individually crossed the 900-million-stream mark.

It looks like you’ve all been giving the drummer some love over the past few years.
