3. Pain

Doesn’t it piss you off when your ex is doing better after you leave them?

There are breakup songs, and then there are “I ‘m-doing-better-than-you-after-a-break-up” songs—“Pain” definitely falls into the latter.

Driven by a heart-pumping, almost runway-like instrumental with a Mary J. Blige sample, an unbothered Lola Brooke calls out dudes who mooch off women while making it clear she doesn’t sweat men who aren’t worth her time.

The song flows effortlessly, radiates carefree energy, and is just plain listenable—anyone can vibe with this one.

2. Invest (Ft. N3WYRKLA)

N3WYRKLA absolutely ate on this track.

So here’s the thing: I like what Lola Brooke does on this track—dropping bars about being willing to be the best companion to someone she’s into and hitting us with one of her smoother rap styles. But it’s N3WYRKLA’s vocal performance that kept me coming back. She delivers a passionate, bold, SZA-esque performance that blends perfectly with the elegant production. She’s such a damn star.

1. It Was All A Dream

This track belongs on the soundtrack of a movie about a troubled school.

Look, some people might cuss me out for this, but I love well-put-together tracks like this.

“It Was All A Dream” features an emotionally charged beat that truly resonates, a chorus delivered with raw passion and soul, and introspective bars from Lola Brooke that make her feel relatable and human. To me, this is one of her most complete and impressive records to date.

Is there anybody rapping harder than Lola Brooke right now? The answer is a confident, immediate no. On iight bet!, she spits with so much fire you can practically imagine the studio lights flickering, overheating, and tapping out mid-session.

The production across iight bet! is mostly explosive. Think beats that punch you directly in the ears—heavy bass, sharp drums, and enough aggressive low-end to make your neighbors consider filing noise complaints. It’s the kind of sound that demands attention before Lola even steps in.

That said, the project does give you breathing room toward the end with tracks like “Pain,” “Invest,” and “It Was All A Dream,” where things take on a more relaxed, melodic tone—letting listeners recover from the wounds the earlier beats inflicted.

And when Lola does jump in? She meets every beat at the rim. She makes it clear she’s a big dog—stepping fully into her potential, talking her talk, whooping ass, and stacking money. Her delivery carries Pop Smoke–level intensity with all the huffs, puffs, and chest-out bravado, but she tempers that with a sly confidence that’s uniquely hers. Even in the more subtle moments, you can hear her having fun—sliding into pockets, adding personality, and elevating the energy whenever she wants.

iight bet! is absolutely an acquired taste. This is primarily ass-kicking rap music. There are flashes of vulnerability, but that’s not what you’ll walk away remembering. So if you love raw energy, New York grit, and rappers who sound like they’re fighting for the last spot on Earth, Lola Brooke just handed you your new soundtrack.
