Playboi Carti’s ‘MUSIC’ Surpasses 2 Billion Spotify Streams

Playboi Carti’s ‘MUSIC’ completely lived up to expectations.

Playboi Carti’s landmark album MUSIC has officially surpassed 2 billion streams on Spotify, becoming only the second rap album of the year to earn this many streams (Kendrick Lamar’s GNX is the other one).

The Grammy-nominated project, originally teased as I AM MUSIC, arrived with unprecedented hype — and largely delivered. Boasting a massive 30 tracks, the album features a star-studded guest list, including Kendrick Lamar (three appearances), Travis Scott (four appearances), Lil Uzi Vert, Young Thug, Ty Dolla $ign, Jhene Aiko, and The Weeknd.

The album’s most-streamed track is “RATHER LIE” with The Weeknd, followed by “EVIL JORDAN.” On the flip side, the least-streamed song is “WALK,” a track that’s admittedly easy to forget amidst the album’s high-energy highlights.

With MUSIC achieving such monumental streaming success, fans are eagerly anticipating what Carti’s follow-up will bring — and expectations are sky-high. Whatever comes next (Which might be Baby Boi), it will have to be nothing short of massive.
