A cinematic new Gangsta Grillz mixtape arrives December 5th.

West Coast legend The Game and mixtape icon DJ Drama are officially joining forces for a brand-new Gangsta Grillz project titled Every Movie Needs a Trailer, set to drop on December 5th. This marks The Game’s first release since his DRILLMATIC: Heart vs. Mind album, which featured standout tracks like “Eazy” and “Talk To Me Nicely.” According to Game, the entire tape was recorded in just 48 hours—an impressive turnaround even for a veteran with his track record.

The project is produced entirely by Mike & Keys, the Grammy-nominated duo known for their cinematic and soulful production. Their résumé includes celebrated work with Nipsey Hussle, Dom Kennedy, Buddy, and more, making them the perfect sonic architects for a project with “movie” in the title.

With DJ Drama’s iconic Gangsta Grillz stamp, The Game’s vivid, high-stakes storytelling, and Mike & Keys’ masterful soundscapes, Every Movie Needs a Trailer has all the ingredients to become a modern mixtape moment. Let’s just hope he doesn’t have a sequel to “The Black Slim Shady” on the project.
