Lil Baby dropped this one in a very organic way, and he’s got to feel good about the outcome.
Lil Baby’s The Leaks is shaping up to make a solid impact on the charts. The project is projected to move 34K units in its first full tracking week, which is expected to place it at #17 on the Billboard 200. The mixtape technically debuted last week at #150, off the strength of just one day of tracking, pulling in roughly 11K units. With this full-week surge, it currently appears poised to be the only rap album inside the top 40 on next week’s Billboard 200.
Featuring fifteen tracks, The Leaks pulls together an impressive list of guest appearances, including Lil Yachty, G Herbo, Young Thug, Rylo Rodriguez, Playboi Carti, Skooly, LUCKI, Veeze, and Bino Rideaux. Sonically, the project finds Lil Baby returning to his roots—stripping away commercial-leaning experiments and diving back into the raw trap sound that first defined his rise. The result is a tighter, grittier, and more focused set of tracks that highlight his signature flows and street-driven narratives.
This marks Lil Baby’s second release of 2025, following WHAM, which dropped back in January. While WHAM leaned into a more modern and polished direction, The Leaks feels intentionally unrefined—a reminder of what initially made him a standout voice in Atlanta rap.
