A mesmerizing pop gem that captures the pain and heartache that comes with loving someone who’s not good for you.
Multi-talented producer Nurko has steadily risen through the dance music world thanks to his boundary-pushing melodic bass sound and signature airy leads. Since launching his project in 2015, he’s worked alongside heavyweights like ILLENIUM, Adventure Club, and Dabin, carving out a respected lane of emotional, forward-thinking electronic music. On the other side of this collaboration is iann dior, a multi-platinum artist whose influence stretches across music and fashion, backed by billions of streams and high-profile collaborations.
Together, Nurko and iann dior unite on the pop-leaning single “I Want You,” accompanied by an official visualizer. Speaking on the release, Nurko shared that the song represents a departure from his usual sound, calling it a meaningful and vibey experiment outside of his comfort zone.
“I Want You” opens with soft, melodic guitar, immediately setting a laidback and inviting tone. The production gradually unfolds into an immersive soundscape that feels comforting yet emotionally loaded. Lyrical moments like choosing poison and recognizing red flags reflect the internal conflict of loving someone you know isn’t good for you.
Fueled by emotive vocals and raw, relatable storytelling, the track captures heartbreak with sincerity and restraint. “I Want You” stands as a mesmerizing pop gem that resonates deeply, reminding listeners to protect their hearts from unhealthy attachments.
