Chance The Rapper and Jeremih reunite for “Secret Santa,” a festive five-track project blending Christmas themes, soulful melodies, and playful experimentation.
Chance The Rapper and Jeremih are officially back in the Christmas spirit, and for music fans, that’s a win. Back in 2020, the Chicago duo surprised listeners with Merry Christmas Lil Mama, a festive project that balanced holiday cheer with personality and humor, including one of the most entertaining diss tracks in recent memory, “Shoulda Left You.”
Now, they’ve reunited for a new five-track project titled Secret Santa. As expected, the project leans into Christmas-themed lyrics while still allowing room for a bit of recklessness and a touch of holiness. It feels playful, spirited, and intentionally loose, which fits the duo’s chemistry perfectly.
Chance The Rapper acts as the engine of the project, bringing high energy, animated performances, and storytelling that jumps between joy, reflection, and experimentation. He sounds fully engaged, willing to try different styles and tones throughout the short runtime.
Jeremih, meanwhile, provides the smooth counterbalance, delivering soulful vocals, seductive melodies, and those slightly mischievous moments he does so well. With sounds ranging from gospel-inspired cuts to trippy vibes and R&B-leaning holiday grooves, Secret Santa is a fun, eclectic seasonal listen that doesn’t take itself too seriously.
