A$AP Rocky Quietly Has His Biggest Spotify Year Ever Without Dropping an Album

If A$AP Rocky had dropped “DON’T BE DUMB” this year, he would’ve easily lapped a lot of his competition.

2025 has officially become A$AP Rocky’s biggest year ever on Spotify, with more than 3.1 billion streams across all credits. What makes that number even wilder is that this marks his seventh consecutive year without releasing a new album. In an era where constant output is often treated as mandatory, Rocky continues to prove that presence and longevity can outweigh volume.

Much of the conversation throughout the year revolved around whether DON’T BE DUMB would finally arrive. The project has been teased for nearly two years, with singles surfacing as early as 2024, keeping anticipation alive. Still, as the months passed, it became clear that Rocky didn’t actually need a new release to dominate streaming. His catalog has been doing the heavy lifting on its own.

Tracks like “Sundress,” now pushing past 900 million streams, continue to thrive alongside “Everyday,” “F**king Problems,” and “Praise Da Lord (Da Shine),” which has crossed the one-billion mark.

I really wonder if A$AP Rocky and Rihanna go back and forth about who will drop a new album first. My money is on neither.
