Lil Uzi Vert’s “What You Saying” Eyes Top 25 Debut as His Comeback Momentum Builds

After a rough era, Uzi’s new run feels focused, hungry, and finally locked in again.

Lil Uzi Vert’s “What You Saying” is currently aiming for a debut inside the Top 25 of the Billboard Hot 100, which would mark his highest-charting song in over two years. That alone says a lot, especially considering how quiet things had felt around his solo momentum not too long ago. The record’s early success suggests that Uzi might finally be re-entering the conversation in a serious way.

On Instagram, Uzi recently wrote, “My purpose is to really give it all my heart this time… I will never let up again.” That quote hits harder when you put it next to his recent output. For many fans, Eternal Atake 2 was a rough listen — messy, unfocused, and widely viewed as one of his weakest projects. At the time, there were even rumors floating around that it existed mainly to fulfill contractual obligations. Whether true or not, the perception stuck.

Now, things feel different. Since aligning with Roc Nation, Uzi has quietly put together a steady run of singles, including “Regular,” “Relevant,” “Chanel Boy,” and now “What You Saying.” Each release has gained more traction than the last, slowly rebuilding momentum instead of forcing a moment.

“What You Saying” feels like the payoff. It’s catchy, weird in the right ways, and confident without sounding forced. If this trajectory holds, Uzi might actually be in the middle of a real comeback — not the loud kind, but the kind that sneaks up and sticks.
