Rod Wave Returns With “Feed The Streets”

Rating: 3.5 out of 5.

A low-key but emotional drop that keeps his streak of honesty and restraint alive.

You know what really makes me a huge Rod Wave fan? He never forces anything. Even with the level of success he’s reached — selling out tours and moving more records than your favorite rapper’s favorite rappers — he only drops when it actually feels right. Because of that, 2025 ended up being pretty quiet for him. Outside of the excellent “Sinners” and a few loose singles, we didn’t get a full project, which honestly makes me think 2026 could be a major year for him.

To give fans a little preview of what might be coming, Rod just dropped a new single called “Feed The Streets.” The track rides on production that moves at a solid pace, blending subtle melancholy with enough energy to keep it from dragging. It feels heavy without being overwhelming, which is a space Rod has always thrived in.

Vocally, he switches between rugged bars and light singing, painting a gritty, paranoid portrait of someone who feels untouchable yet isolated at the same time.

It’s not my favorite Rod Wave song by any means, but hearing new music from him is always a win.
