Drake Makes History With 10 Albums Charting on Billboard at Once

The rap superstar’s catalog now accounts for 5 percent of the Billboard 200 in a single week.

Drake has just made history in a way that feels almost absurd, even by his standards. This week, Drake became the first rapper ever to place 10 albums on the Billboard 200 simultaneously, a feat that underscores not just dominance, but longevity on a scale hip-hop has never seen.

The albums currently charting span nearly his entire career. Take Care sits highest at No. 17, followed by $ome $exy $ongs 4 U at No. 25 and Views at No. 39. From there, the list stretches across eras: Certified Lover Boy, For All the Dogs, Thank Me Later, Scorpion, More Life, Nothing Was the Same, and Her Loss all remain present on the chart in the same week. From his 2010 debut to his most recent releases, Drake’s catalog is not just surviving, it’s actively competing.

What makes this even more striking is which album is leading the charge. Take Care, released nearly 15 years ago, is the highest-charting hip-hop album among the ten. That raises an interesting question about the current state of the genre. Is this a testament to Drake’s timeless catalog, or does it signal a wider reluctance among listeners to fully embrace newer hip-hop acts? When older projects continue to outperform fresh releases, it suggests nostalgia and familiarity still play a massive role in listening habits.

At the same time, it’s impossible to ignore the replay value of Drake’s music. His catalog is filled with tracks that listeners return to, regardless of era. Whatever the interpretation, one thing is undeniable: roughly 5 percent of the Billboard 200 belongs to Drake this week, and that level of sustained relevance is impressive.
