Ella Mai Delivers Pure R&B Excellence on “100”

Rating: 4.5 out of 5.

A smooth, soulful standout that reinforces Ella Mai’s unmatched consistency.

Ella Mai has an unreal hit rate, nothing like my tragic PrizePicks parlays.

Whenever she resurfaces with new music, it almost feels automatic that it’s going to land. Sure enough, she’s gearing up to return in February with a new project titled Do You Still Love Me?, and one of its standout offerings is “100.”

The track is anchored by absolutely gorgeous, soulful production from DJ Mustard, complete with those unmistakable snaps that give his touch away instantly.

Ella Mai floats over the beat with an elegant vocal performance, effortlessly hitting her highs and sitting comfortably in her lows. The chorus feels tailor-made for a peaceful Sunday morning, warm and reassuring, while the lyrics place loyalty on a pedestal so high even Lane Kiffin couldn’t dream of reaching it.

Ella Mai’s music always ages like fine wine. Not that cheap s**t you can find at CVS.
