A$AP Rocky’s ‘Don’t Be Dumb’ Aiming for #2 Debut on Billboard 200, Battling Bad Bunny for #1

Just imagine what that #1 seed could do for A$AP Rocky’s morale (I’m being sarcastic here).

A$AP Rocky’s long-awaited album Don’t Be Dumb is currently projected to debut at #2 on the Billboard 200 with 119K first-week units, according to HITSDD. The album is in a close race with Bad Bunny for the top spot, marking one of the most competitive chart battles of the year so far.

The buzz around Don’t Be Dumb has been building for months, from cryptic posters popping up in LA, NYC, and Atlanta, to Rocky confirming the project would feature 15 tracks plus two bonus cuts from “Side B.” Rihanna’s vocal support during the official cover art reveal only added fuel to the rollout, because… it’s Rihanna.

After getting the chance to listen to and review the album, it’s clear Rocky wasn’t rushing this one. Don’t Be Dumb feels intentional, experimental, and confident, blending fashion-forward energy with sharp lyricism and immersive production. The album plays like a statement, reminding listeners exactly why Rocky has always existed in his own lane. It’s not chasing trends; it’s challenging them.

Even if Don’t Be Dumb lands just shy of #1, the projected numbers alone prove that A$AP Rocky’s return was worth the wait. With strong fan support, a thoughtful rollout, and a sound that feels both elevated and unapologetically him, Rocky has officially reentered the conversation.
