Savoy Ellis and Anna Moore Tap Into Nostalgia on “I Miss You”

Rating: 5 out of 5.

Savoy Ellis’ nostalgic production meets Anna Moore’s daring vocals on a collaboration that turns missing someone into something unforgettable.

Savoy Ellis and Anna Moore link up on “I Miss You,” a track that works so well because it knows exactly how to use both of their strengths.

Savoy handles the production duties with a quirky touch, pairing a steady tempo with a nostalgic, almost vintage feel that wouldn’t sound out of place as an 80s sitcom theme song (It actually reminds me of the Amen theme song).

Anna Moore floats over the beat with vocals that feel free, loose, and daring. At times, she sings with a passion that spills right out of her chest, and at others, she pulls things back with whispery confessions that make you lean in closer. Lyrically, she captures that carefree but overwhelming feeling of missing someone so deeply that you don’t even know what to do with yourself. I love the honesty, frfr.

Overall, “I Miss You” is addictive, dramatic, and undeniably unique. I’m not sure I’ve heard a song like this before…
