Don’t let Farrow’s youthful appearance fool you; he raps like a grown man!
Do you know what I think hip-hop could really use right now? Some new conscience-rap blood. With guys like Kendrick Lamar and J. Cole creeping closer to their 40s, it feels like the genre is quietly waiting for the next wave of thinkers to step up and take the torch. Why can’t one of those people be Farrow?
The New Orleans rapper raps with undeniable passion, balancing street-level honesty with thoughtful reflection, all while staying rooted in his Southern DNA. On his recent ten-track project FOR TRUE, Farrow proves he’s not just rapping to rap—he’s rapping to say something. One of the clearest examples of that is “WALKING MIRRORS.”
On the track, Farrow dives into perseverance, faith, and self-awareness, using the metaphor of “walking mirrors” to suggest that what we see in others often reflects ourselves. He delivers every bar with aggression and conviction, gliding over dramatic production built on striking piano notes and a warm, almost sunny backdrop. It’s the kind of beat that feels heavy but hopeful—like the light at the end of the tunnel is closer than you think.
I’ll keep it real: this gives me serious classic J. Cole vibes—Cole World: The Sideline Story era. That’s definitely a good thing.

Quincy is the creator of Ratings Game Music. He loves writing about music, taking long walks on beaches, and spaghetti that fights him back.
