It looks like NLE Choppa has no chill button these days.
NLE Choppa… I mean, NLE The Great, really seems to make music whenever he’s got steam to blow off. A few weeks ago, he dropped those wild NBA YoungBoy diss tracks, dancing like his moves could save the world in their music videos. This past weekend, he came through with two new tracks: “Shotta Flow 8” and “Set The Record Straight.” The latter takes a much more personal approach.
On “Set The Record Straight,” NLE calls out NBA Ben 10 for talking s**t about him and throws shots at his baby mothers who are accusing him of being a deadbeat and gay. He also reminds listeners he’s ready to get violent if necessary, sort of like ICE. The production hits with menacing trap vibes, a tight tempo, and that unapologetic aggression we’ve come to expect. NLE’s delivery is raw and unpredictable, bouncing off the beat in a way that is flat-out erratic.
Is the track enjoyable? Not really. But is it interesting? Absolutely. (Wait, I said the same about “Shotta Flow 8,” didn’t I?)

Quincy is the creator of Ratings Game Music. He loves writing about music, taking long walks on beaches, and spaghetti that fights him back.
