V.I.C delivers confidence, charm, and vintage vibes on “She Said.”
Is there a rapper from the UK who isn’t confident? That’s really hard to find. The latest one that caught my attention is Naija-born, London-living artist V.I.C. Aside from his confidence, I enjoy the flair he raps with and how fearless he is when it comes to tackling different types of backdrops. Several notable platforms share this view, as he’s received acclaim from CLASH, COLORS, GRM Daily, and BBC Radio 1.
In one of V.I.C’s latest singles, “She Said,” he completely wins me over as a fan. First and foremost, the track boasts vintage production with bold, retro-fitted samples and potent trap percussion, giving off a modern The Neptunes-type vibe. As for V.I.C, he comes through with charm, energy, and pizazz, delivering a catchy, melodic chorus alongside slick rap verses. His steady flows and strong narration shine as he speaks on what bad chicks really want, someone who’s balling and confident.
Aside from being the perfect track to take notes to, this is also one of those songs I can see turning up a chill club or motivating you to get off the couch and get your hustle on.
