Central Cee and J Hus Unleash Aggression on “SLAUGHTER”

Rating: 4.5 out of 5.

Central Cee sounds pissed on this track. Who the hell drank his apple juice?

Central Cee is preparing to drop his second project in as many years. One thing I already like about these releases is the epic titles. His upcoming project is called All Roads Lead Home, and that name alone feels powerful. It makes me think he might mess around and deliver a classic. A few hours ago, he dropped a new single from the project titled “SLAUGHTER” featuring J Hus.

“SLAUGHTER” rides on a beat you can move to, with a touch of island flair and rhythm. Still, Central Cee does not sound like someone in the mood to party. He taps into his menacing side, delivering fiery bars that push thirsty admirers, opps, and anyone not on his level out of the way. He eases up slightly toward the end of his verse, but by then, the damage is done.

J Hus helps set the tone with a burly, commanding chorus, sounding like Central’s gritty hype man. Overall, I like the track’s urgency and hearing a more aggressive version of Cee. I’m a fan when rappers sound angry.
