“BULLY” is a very important release for Ye. I prefer he gets it right.
To the shock of absolutely no one, Ye has once again delayed the long-teased BULLY, a project whose buzz has been relatively quiet lately. Still, he’s been making appearances publicly, mainly in other countries such as Mexico.
At this point, BULLY has racked up more missed release dates than some artists have full discographies. Previous targets included September 26, November 7, December 12, January 30, March 20, and now the album is officially scheduled for March 27, 2026. Given Ye’s history, it’s anyone’s guess if this date will stick. However, he is scheduled to perform in Los Angeles a few days later, so that might be a show dedicated to the new release. I’m optimistic.
Ye began teasing BULLY over a year ago with snippets, videos, and singles, including “PREACHER MAN,” “DAMN,” and “BEAUTY AND THE BEAST.” The album has cycled through multiple potential titles—from the controversial CUKKK to In a Perfect World. As usual, Ye’s creative process is unfolding publicly, chaotically, and entirely on his own terms.
This new release date places BULLY in the spotlight, and Ye has even hinted it could be his version of The Miseducation of Lauryn Hill. If that’s the vision, taking the extra time might be worth it—hip-hop could certainly use a true classic right now.
