Andrew Neil & Code Purple

Andrew Neil & Code Purple is a band that embodies resilience and transformation, led by Andrew Neil, who turned to music following life-altering events, including a severe car accident and mental health struggles. Initially on a path toward a military career, Neil’s challenges led him to create a raw, emotive style of music, reminiscent of Nirvana’s unplugged sessions, crafting over 450 original songs. His first major album, Code Purple, was recorded in a psychiatric hospital. After surviving Non-Hodgkin’s Lymphoma, Neil formed the band Code Purple in 2023. The group includes Daniel Houser on lead guitar, Rick Shaw on bass and mandolin, and versatile drummer Logan Wayne. Together, they blend their diverse musical backgrounds to create a groundbreaking, deeply human sound. Their upcoming album, Resurrection, reflects their collective experiences and artistry.
