Jaylen Brown (aka Khalid) has such a unique sound, and each rapper featured on the song try to match it.
Khalid is phenomenal on this song, sounding a lot like a disturbed teenager who is singing the blues to us. I am very impressed with how Khalid is able to channel this Frank Ocean like sound.
Of course someone like me is going to hate the rappers featured on this song, but then again, Rae Sremmurd has shown this ability to fit in on unorthodox tracks like this one. While both of the duo’s boyish voices fits the youthful sound of the song, they sound to happy and money inspired to me.
Lil Yachty (aka Lil Whatever) actually put up a good verse here! For the first time in his life, his auto-tune whining actually sounds good to hear.
