We’ve heard a lot of breakout EDM artists in the last couple of years, but none quite like Anton Cullen.

The up and coming producer and session musician from Dublin, Ireland shows a lot of promise with his second single “Warfare.” His first single, “Breakthrough,” is also worth a listen, and both songs are featured on his new EDM album that is expected to be released during the last quarter of 2017.

“Warfare” is an instrumental track that starts off very simple, letting the beat build gradually, allowing the listener to bask in its glory. As piece by piece stack on top of one another, the song becomes more and more complex until the anticipated beat drop. There’s a hint of organ playing layered in this song which makes it sound like what I imagine Phantom of the Opera would sound like if the Phantom was on ecstasy. Somehow this track is both menacing and playful at the same time, which is great because I don’t know if I’m in Tron, (the Phantom’s lair) or in my living room!

Anton Cullen has created a rare sound that you can both close your eyes and get lost in, or go out and rave to. I love how the song switches between picking up the pace and making me want to pump my fists to easing into something I can sway to.

I look forward to hearing more from Anton Cullen before the year ends! “Warfare” is available on iTunes, Spotify, and Google Play. Don’t be the last one to show up to the party!
