From the bombastic instrumental to the introspective lyrics, listeners are treated to an absolute thrill from the moment they press play on ‘My Darling’. The pop track is laced with so much raw energy, as Archie was able to convert this unfortunate episode of heartbreak into this highly entertaining tune through both his charisma and exuberance.
Not only is ‘My Darling’ a perfect song to me, but it is also one of the best debut singles from an artist that I’ve ever heard.
