Childish Major- Happy Birthday (Ft. Isaiah Rashad & SZA) (Review & Stream)

Childish Major is another artist blurring the lines between producer and musician flawlessly!

He was named one of Complex’s “25 New Producers To Watch For” in 2013 after producing Rocko, Rick Ross and Future’s “U.O.E.N.O” as well as J. Cole’s “4 Your Eyez Only.” Although his name suggests otherwise, there is nothing childish about this artist’s grown and sexy jazz inspired sound.

Childish Major’s clear voice is the main one heard rapping the verses and singing the chorus throughout his song, “Happy Birthday.”  SZA and Isaiah Rashad come in simultaneously towards the end to tie up all the loose ends.

I love that even though this tune is technically upbeat, it makes me feel like I’m at a lounge rather than the club. It’s perfect for those chill evenings at home.
