Much like Joyner Lucas, Dave East has been trickling through all the rap songs that were popular this year, making his own street-inspired version of them. I love that he does that, especially when he does it to a non-lyrical song like ‘Gucci Gang’.
Does the Harlem spitter murder this particular East Mix? Probably not, but he gives it a perspective that the old heads can at least hear the song in.
