King Combs gets his first major endorsement on “Love You Better.”
I actually think highly of King Combs. He reminds me of a 90’s MC — one that could fit into all the flossy elements that Puff used to promote with his Bad Boy family. On “Love You Better,” Combs puts his vintage sound to use, rapping over a newer version of Case’s “Touch Me, Tease Me” Schoolly D’s “P.S.K. What Do You Mean” track. Throughout listening to the song, I thought Mase, especially when it comes to his delivery; but that’s OK with me, because I think Mase is the truth.
Another rap collaboration, another passionate performance for Breezy. On the hook for this song, he pours his heart out, doing his best to convince his girl that he’ll love her better than any hair video can. I think it’s a bit much for the tone of the record, but who am I to judge.
Ya’ll think this is a hit?
