Ella Mai’s “Trip” Is Yet Another Major R&B Hit (Review & Stream)

Oh s**t, Ella Mai has other music? I thought her debut album was going to feature 13 different versions of “Boo’d Up.”

Ella Mai has next, that’s obvious, but what’s ironic is that she’s getting popular from this old school sound. On “Trip,” yet another vintage sounding track, Ella talks about sipping and losing her mind over me some dude through some mellow and exuberant vocals throughout. I love the calming nature of the instrumental she sings over, and don’t mind her openness lyrically.

Ella Mai looks like a tatted up Cosby kid.
