G-Eazy Gives Us Something Smooth With “Rewind” (Review & Stream)

G-Eazy can steal my girl.

I f**k with G-Eazy a lot! I love how his sound has matured throughout the years, and actually don’t mind if he strays away from your so called hyphy rap records. In “Rewind,” I get my wish, because on it, the silky smooth rapper drops some pretty straight-up bars about taking his career to the next level and leaving his clingy chick behind over this gentle/pop-heavy instrumental. In other words, everything around the Bay Area rapper is soft and cuddly (including the hook by Anthony Russo), while he brings the ruggedness on his verses. I like the formula!

G-Eazy looks far different then MGK now (Peep the video up top).
