Mick Jenkins Questions The Norm In “Barcelona” (Review & Stream)

Mick Jenkins allows us into his mental on this joint.

Mick Jenkins loves rapping over unorthodox instrumentals, putting our minds in a daze when he drops rhymes. In “Barcelona,” you get just that, as the Chicago rapper tip toes through this sly ass beat using the nimblest of flows. Content-wise, he takes aim at the plug-n-play rappers of today, insulting their subject matters and opting to be a respectful n***a to our wives (Among many other sentiments). Throughout, the song gives off poetic vibes, reminding the world how sensible Mick is when it comes to making music.

If hip hop ever gets a chance to their version of the Pink Panther, I am nominating this guy.
