There is a breed of emotional trap rappers in the game that moves the needle for me; one of the biggest is Derez De’Shon. The topics he tends to talk about is usually on some real s**t, and when he sings, he is nothing less than passionate. In his latest record, “By The Scale,” the Atlanta native was able to give us something that is heavy on both the motivational and gutter tip, which subsequently allows for listeners all over to see his hustler side. Though I cannot relate with his drug-dealing tales, I can appreciate his solid harmonizing and deep ass content.
