Saba may never get the respect he deserves.
In the last couple of weeks, Saba has dropped some of his best music. On them, he’s done a good job of blending serious raps with soulful harmonizing and soothing instrumentals. In “Papaya,” he utilizes that formula once again, giving us this serene banger that has him doing everything from crooning softly to rapping tough. Though I can do without the complicated instrumental he raps over, I absolutely love everything else about this song!
Saba has an old soul. I literally feel like he can play the old n***a at a barbecue that has the best relationship advice for those who are married.
