I don’t envy the position Key Glock is in right now. He’s not only working to prove that he’s a lasting force in the rap game, but he’s also carrying the weight of Young Dolph’s legacy on his back. The impressive part? He’s held his own so far.
That’s why I believe “Glockaveli” is his most important project to date. It’s not just the bold title—it’s the energy behind it. This one feels bigger than music.

5. Hallelujah
I’ve always believed the church and the trap aren’t meant to mix—but when they do, and it sounds this blasphemous, it’s hard to ignore. “Hallelujah” is a wild blend of Memphis trap energy and gospel-tinged ambiance, with angelic hallelujahs echoing in the background like a Sunday service gone rogue.
The beat is pure Southern grit—808s knocking, tempo pacing like a getaway car—yet layered with holy-sounding vocals that create a bizarrely beautiful contrast. Thankfully, Key Glock doesn’t try to play preacher. Instead, he leans fully into his street persona, rapping with a cool, steady tone about guns, competition, lust, and his hustle addiction. His laid-back flow meshes seamlessly with the beat, making the track feel effortless and gritty all at once.
The repeated “hallelujahs” layered into the production are the secret sauce—elevating the entire track into something that sounds sacred and savage at the same time. It shouldn’t work, but it absolutely does.
4. Glockaveli
Mixing Memphis trap energy with old-school soul is almost always a winning formula—and Key Glock nails it on “Glockaveli.”
Just like in “Hallelujah,” where gospel-style “hallelujahs” lift the production, “Glockaveli” uses classic “baby baby” vocal samples to sprinkle in some retro flavor. Paired with a laid-back Memphis trap beat, the result is smooth, soulful, and dripping with swagger.
Key Glock’s delivery is as effortlessly cool as ever, but here, that coolness feels magnified. Over this smooth beat, he flexes about his love from women, talks about having the same red button as Putin and Trump, and addresses the hate he constantly faces. All in all, “Glockaveli” is exactly what you want to hear out of Glock.
3. No Sweat
From a production standpoint, “No Sweat” sounds tailor-made for a Memphis rapper to demolish—and Key Glock does precisely that. With his signature laid-back delivery and relentless flow, he raps about iced-out diamonds, running the streets, and stacking money effortlessly. While the song may not be lyrically groundbreaking, it’s the type of track that will have you nodding your head aggressively from start to finish.
2. The Grinch
As expected from a Key Glock track, “The Grinch” is driven by a hard-hitting, luxurious beat—but this one comes with a twist. The instrumental channels vintage ’70s Blaxploitation movie energy, layered with grime and funk that instantly grabs your ear. It’s a sonic backdrop that feels both classic and menacing.
Glock leans all the way in, talking his usual s**t about being the hardest out, robbing folks, hustling nonstop, and keeping beef alive longer than The Simpsons. He slides over the beat with confidence, nails the aggressive delivery, and delivers a chorus that sticks.
1. 3AM In ToKEYo
“3AM in ToKEYo” rides on an extra demonic, club-ready, and surprisingly soulful beat that I seriously can’t get enough of (major props to DJ Paul for crafting this monster). Even with an effortless flow, Key Glock exudes raw, gritty energy—rapping about flexing yellow diamonds, hooking up with wild women, and staying ready to throw hands when necessary.
The confidence and chaos in his delivery are so intense, you’d think he was gearing up for battle. Honestly, if the rap game were Mortal Kombat and Glock had to square up against Liu Kang, this track would be his entrance music. No question.

Key Glock really doesn’t f**k with y’all—and he makes that crystal clear on Glockaveli. With zero features and plenty of bars about keeping to himself, Glock cements his status as a lone wolf in the rap game, moving in silence but speaking loud through his music.
One of the most underrated accolades in hip-hop is being the best beat selector. While artists like Logic and Young Thug have held that crown in the past, Key Glock might just be next in line. The Memphis rapper leans fully into his city’s gritty, Southern sound on Glockaveli, but it’s the little extras—soulful samples, gospel samples, vintage vocal chops—that make the production stand out.
Glock’s performance is as chill as ever, almost as if he recorded the album mid-road trip with his elbow out the window. Yet, that laid-back tone doesn’t stop him from lyrically going full Looney Tunes villain. Like a Bugs Bunny of the block, he finds creative ways to flex on haters, celebrate his lifestyle, and detail his arsenal of shiny jewelry, freaky women, and big weapons—all with a mischievous smirk.
Is Glockaveli the best album since sliced bread? Probably not. But the coolest thing since sliced bread? Absolutely.
