Nicki Minaj kills this joint!
Nicki Minaj has had a different kind of energy these last couple of months. I feel like she’s been more focused/energized, which has resulted in some fantastic verses from her. Last night, she decided to release two new tracks that further validates my point, and the one that I’m about to talk about below is my favorite.
On “Barbie Drip,” Nicki starts things off sounding like Lil Baby and Gunna, using the same melodies and swag they used in the original version of the song. Eventually, she starts to rap traditionally, bragging and boasting about her newfound motivation, libido increase and top ranking in the game. (Everyone knows she’s the best thing since sliced bread)
Nicki Minaj is untouchable when she’s focused.
