Lowkey, Jessie Reyez is BAE!
Jessie Reyez is a very talented artist, she just hasn’t completely bloomed yet. With the release of “Imported,” I can see that process expediting itself.
“Imported” is a sappy R&B tune that features vulnerable versions of both Jessie Reyez and featured guest 6LACK. So what exactly do I mean by ‘vulnerable?’ Well, each artist opens up quite a bit on their respective verses on the song, coming across as miserable lovers that probably spend most of their time at bars with poor lighting. The good news is that misery loves company, and it seems like these two sad sacks of heart-breakers have found each other!
As usual, I love how both singers stay true to their characters on this song, with 6LACK coming across as a mellow ass dude that wants to get freaky and Jessie as a weirdo that is ready to be taken advantage of due to her history of heartbreak.
