Jacquees Calls On Gunna & Young Thug For “Verify”

Jacquees called on the Drip Gods for “Verify.”

I’m not going to lie, I am anticipating Jacquees’ next album as much as anyone else’s. To me, he’s been nailing every single he’s released, showing the world plenty of versatility in the process. Today, the braided singer decided to drop yet another banger for us, and this time around, he relies on a few melodic bars by Gunna and Young Thug.

“Verify” has this sereneness to it overall, as Jacquees sings glowingly about the love he has for his chick over this laid-back instrumental (that sneakily has some bass to it). As a woman, I can easily see you being hypnotized with the smooth package the two elements offer.

Gunna and Thugger do add some grit to “Verify,” gifting the song with slight verses about splurging on chicks. While I like their contributions, I do not think it’s necessary for the song’s success.

The melody on this song is killer! Jacquees’ low-key harmonizing is also pretty dope, too.
