This is the type of music they played at Marvin back in the day.
Nez, one half of the production duo Nez & Rio, is making a bold shift as a solo artist with his new single, “Wild Youngster.” He’s clearly aiming to break the mold and offer something fresh.
This new direction might be a bit unconventional, and it’s possible that some listeners might find it quite different from what they’re used to. f**k what they are used to, though.

“Wild Youngster” blends house and hip-hop in a very unique way. With its uptempo production, static-filled vocals, and gritty verses from ScHoolboy Q, it’s definitely pushing boundaries. As for lyrically, the two artists talk about being bad boys that are down to f**k with freaks. All in all, this is the kind of track that might find its home in niche, offbeat clubs rather than mainstream venues.
