Lil Wayne Drops “Playoff”

Rating: 3.5 out of 5.

Congratulations to Wayne’s LSU Tigers!

Lil Wayne is a major sports fan. In the past, I’ve seen him rep everyone from the Green Bay Packers of the NFL to the Los Angeles Lakers of the NBA. He’s also shown love to teams of his city, but that’s mainly when they are winning (oop). That said, It doesn’t surprise me that he decided to drop a song called “Playoff” for us today (aka National Championship day).

While the production attached to “Playoff” is as festive as it gets (kudos to Corey Henry & The Treme Funktet Band), it’s Lil Wayne’s energetic, motivational, and sports-related verses that will capture your attention the most. As for Poppy H, the other rapper on the track, he delivers a tough and impactful verse as well.

Wayne still has something left in the tank.
