Lil Peep Taps Into Haunting Rock-Trap Vibes on “DON’T PANIC”

Rating: 4.5 out of 5.

This is another reminder that Lil Peep was an extremely talented individual.

Lil Peep returns with “DON’T PANIC,” another posthumous release that reminds listeners why his sound still lingers years later. Pulled from the same creative pocket as his beloved Come Over When You’re Sober era, the track feels like a time capsule wrapped in distortion and emotion.

The production leans into a fusion of edgy rock textures and trap elements, creating a moody, slightly ghostly atmosphere. It’s the kind of instrumental that feels heavy without being overwhelming, giving Peep plenty of space to let his presence drift across it.

Vocally, Peep doesn’t go overly dramatic here. Instead, he delivers a cooler, almost detached performance that carries a subtle numbness. That restraint actually makes the track hit harder. Lyrically, he touches on dependence, acknowledging someone who helps keep him grounded while also admitting he’s not the easiest person to deal with.

“DON’T PANIC” thrives on its vibe. The chorus sticks, the emotion lingers, and the overall feel is something fans of Peep’s signature style will instantly connect with. It’s another reminder that even years later, his music still finds ways to resonate.
