“Would You Mind” is an absolute hit!
If you aren’t hip to John Tony, then you are definitely missing out! To me, the Nigerian-born/Canadian-raised musician understands exactly what it takes to make a hit that is engaging, infectious, and lowkey trill. In “Would You Mind,” his latest single, Tony gifts us with something that I’m sure playas worldwide will f**k with.
“Would You Mind” is powered by this sensual trap instrumental that has a helluva bop and a nice little rhythm attached to it. As for John Tony, on the track, he makes sure to gift us with a vocal performance that is soulful, melodies that are memorable, and lyrics that straddle the line between smooth and promiscuous.
Though I enjoyed vibing out to “Would You Mind,” I’m not going to lie, while listening to it, I clutched my girl’s hands. (There will be no stealing of my girl, Tony!)
