Nicki dropped a tougher song than Meek last night…
Nicki Minaj is probably a better marketer than she is a rapper (And she is a phenomenal rapper). Just yesterday, in a matter of an hour, she was able to set Twitter ablaze by letting us know that she was releasing “Yikes.” Unfortunately, I don’t think the track is as good as Nicki insinuates it is.
So what do I like about “Yikes?” The beat attached to it is sinister/trap enough to catch my attention. I also think Nicki shows the world that she is more than capable of bossing up with the rest of the rappers in the game demeanor-wise in the song. What I do not like about “Yikes” is its dull ass hook and predictable lyrics. S**t, I almost felt like I could finish Nicki’s bars for her on the song.
