Swae Lee Surprises Us With “Back 2 Back Maybach”

BACK 2 BACK MAYBACH

Swae Lee

OVERALL RATING (????)

Bops and killer melodies.

To be honest with you, I don’t think Swae Lee has a solo hit yet. Don’t get me wrong, I f**k with “Won’t Be Late” a lot, but at the end of the day, the song sounds way too gimmicky, to me. “Back 2 Back Maybach,” Swae’s latest single, doesn’t feature any gimmicks; instead, on the track, you get 808-heavy production, lyrics that straddle the line between reckless and braggadocios, and a vocal performance that sounds pretty dull. Do I think the song will resonate with folks? Probably not, but I do think it can end up being a lowkey club banger.
